The Sawmill Branch threads the whole town — under Main Street, past the ballfields, along the bike path half of Summerville walks after supper. It seemed like the right name for a crew that intends to be part of the furniture here.
What we are
A working tree crew, scaled for residential Summerville: we remove trees, prune the keepers, answer the storms, and grind what’s left, from Ladson through Nexton to Knightsville. Four services, done properly, is the whole catalog. We don’t install landscapes, we don’t build fences, and when a job needs something we don’t do, we say the name of somebody who does.
What we believe about tree work here
Summerville is particular about its trees, and it has been since 1847 — longer than anywhere else in the country. We think that’s a feature. A town that requires a permit before a big pine comes down is a town whose streets will still be worth shading in fifty years. So we work the way the ordinance implies: remove what’s truly done, keep what can be kept, make the cuts a tree can close, and leave the yard raked. The quote is written, itemized, and holds unless the job itself changes.
